On advertisement and disclosure policy

Announcement:

I am officially joining certain networks of the blogging communities. At times, I may be invited to write certain reviews and so on for certain advertisers for a small fee. However, I will be careful with what I write and choose something I believe in.

I have been thinking about blog and commercialization - yes, advertisers are there and I have some small offers. Blogs are, right now, still an new platform for marketing, and I believe it has potential to take over some traditional media. So then if an advertiser asks me if I can write a review or do a small advert for him or her, do I say no?

I guess well, it depends on the product. I will not promote things I personally do not believe in. I guess it is all about integrity and that is the promise to my readers.

With tons of advertisers and increasingly more marketers using blogs as a new tool, I think it is only important to disclosure things. I am currently using a disclosure policy here: I wish to be and will be open, honest and transparent about the things that influence my blogging :

This policy is valid from 01 November 2007

This blog is a personal blog written and edited by me. For questions about this blog, please contact Beracahvalley@gmail.com.

This blog accepts forms of cash advertising, sponsorship, paid insertions or other forms of compensation.

This blog abides by word of mouth marketing standards. I believe in honesty of relationship, opinion and identity. The compensation received may influence the advertising content, topics or posts made in this blog. That content, advertising space or post will be clearly identified as paid or sponsored content.
